Shade at Desert Ridge Apartments

I lived here for 4 years. In a word to sum it up....It was "Ok" The staff was generally friendly and helpful...at least the ones you need to talk to. Once you get up to management level they don't really know how to deal with people. The site was fairly well maintained. It looks nice when you move in, then the more time you spend there you start to notice all the little things that they don't do. The garbage valet service is a pain in the rear...this is supposed to make your life easier, but it does anything but. It's just lovely walking around the grounds every night and seeing every ones trash outside the door. Not pleasant at all. And you will pay 30 bucks a month for that whether you like it or not. All the fees they charge you will add up too. You will be looking at about $200 more than you are quoted for rent. The owners think a lot of the place and I don't think the rental rates are justified by the property. I understand that the renovated apartments might be a little nicer...but their idea of an upgrade is to replace carpet with linoleum. That's fine, but really? That justifies an additional $350 they are charging for my apartment over what I was paying. Nah, I don't think so. My suggestion if you are thinking of renting here take your time in walking around. Walk the whole site and be sure you want all of what you see. It's not going to get better after you move in, you'll only see more negatives. Would I recommend it...maybe. It depends on your situation, but if you don't have to be in this location, then there are better options out there.

My Fiance and I moved here some months ago now. We love the community entirely throughout. The perks that come with living here have been amazing. We love to Kona ice and the Pizza gatherings the community has to offer.bwe couldn't have asked for a better place to live. It's brought a peace of mind after moving from NY. Thank you Shade. Appreciate everything you've offered thus far.

Place sucks, unhelpful people. My packages got stolen no one would help me. In the boxes we pay for someone stole my packages from different companies that is no coincidence. No one is helpful. Managers are rude. Place has no cameras at all. Pools cold and unheated and yet we pay for all of those services yet nothing is done or changed. If we need something fixed in the apartment it takes forever to be done. Overall, horrible service, do not live here, the old company owners way better and would try to solve every issue there was.

Shade at Desert Ridge is a very nice place to live. It's clean and is in a safe area. The staff is very friendly and care about getting things done for the residents immediately. The maintenance staff is always on point, when issues arise. Overall it's a great place to live and you have your own garage to park your car, if you chose to do so. Alexi, Kay and Haley are AMAZING!!! Jose is an amazing maintenance manager!

Great location with beautiful nature nearby. The year we spent living here was very calm and our neighbors were always very friendly. Our apartment was not renovated, which came with some difficulty as the apartment was very lived in, but it was still a nice place to live. Although we didn't have a perfect experience with the staff, it was very clear that they tried to do the right thing when they were able to. A big thank you to Mariah, who was very kind and communicative when we needed an extra day to move. I was always treated very nicely whenever I needed to go in and speak with someone, and maintenance was done quickly and easily.

Shade at Desert Ridge is a great place to live! The location is amazing & is in walking distance of tons of restaurants, nightlife & shopping. The community has a beautiful swimming pool & gym. The staff in the office is always friendly & very helpful. Haley & Kay do a great job & Tayler is a wonderful new addition to the team! I've lived here for almost six years & I have met so many amazing people & made so many friends in this community!
